Not for the faint of heart, with its varied terrain and scenic routes, this island paradise is a haven for cycling enthusiasts. Go easy or go hard with the Texada Ridge Runner, 144-kilometre gravel route, which runs from the northern tip of the island to Anderson Bay and back again.

Paddleboard

Admire the rugged coastline and stunning vistas at Gillies Bay or Shelter Point. With its tranquil bays and secluded beaches, Texada Island offers a paddleboarding experience that is both peaceful and unforgettable

Fish

From reeling in salmon and halibut to catching rockfish and lingcod, the waters around Texada Island are a playground for fishing enthusiasts seeking a memorable catch. Bring your boat, or call to arrange a charter for the day.

Hunt

With no natural predators, Texada Island has an abundance of Blacktail deer. With a population estimated between 5500-6000, hunters can take advantage of an extensive hunting season and generous bag limits. The hunting season commences in early September and extends until the 15th of January.

Scuba Dive and Snorkel

Anderson Bay, Upwood Point and Rebecca Rocks is where you’ll find reefs full of amazing sponges, millions of fishes and more colorful fauna. cca Rocks. Look for sea cucumbers, rock scallops, lingcod, rock greenlings and small rockfish. More fantastic scub diving awaits you at Powell River, one of the best diving areas in BC.

Dirtbike
